How many guests can Usambara Venue hold?

Our reception venues seat up to 500 guests, so we can host anything from an intimate gathering to a large celebration. Tell us your numbers and we will match you to the right space.

What are your minimum guest numbers?

Our minimum is 90 adult guests on a Saturday, 80 on a Friday or a Sunday, and 60 from Monday to Thursday. If your guest list is on the smaller side, a weekday date is usually the easiest way to make it work.

What chapels do you have?

We have three chapels, each with its own character: Amani, Formal and Forest Chapel. You can choose the one that suits your style and the season, and see them all when you visit.

Do you offer accommodation for guests?

Yes. We have 20 luxury en-suite double rooms on site at Usambara Lodge, including a bridal suite, so you and your guests can stay over and enjoy the day without rushing home.

Can Usambara host conferences and corporate events?

Absolutely. Our conference facilities cater for up to 200 delegates, with the setup and catering handled in-house, so your business event runs smoothly from start to finish.

Do you cater for Muslim and Hindu ceremonies?

Yes. We welcome nikah and walimah ceremonies. Our garden chapel can be arranged with Salaah facilities and a nikah area, and there are nearby ablution rooms for Wudu.

Where is Usambara Venue located?

We are at 16 Steyn Road on the N14 in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, about 30 minutes from both Johannesburg and Pretoria, and close to Cradlestone Mall and Silverstar.

Do you handle catering and decor, or do we bring our own?

We take care of it all in-house. Our team, together with To The T Events, handles the catering, floral and decor design, so everything is styled to your taste and coordinated on the day.

Do you offer a self-catering option?

We offer a self-catering option for religious requirements only, and it is available on Sundays. If that applies to your celebration, mention it in your enquiry and our team will talk you through it.

Can we arrange our own DJ?

Yes. We can arrange a DJ for you through Epic Sound, who will send you a quotation directly, or you are welcome to bring your own. Any outside DJ must be registered with SAMRO and provide a valid SAMPRA certificate.

Can we have the ceremony and reception at the same venue?

Yes. You can hold your ceremony in one of our chapels and your reception in one of our thatch venues, all within our landscaped gardens, so your whole day happens in one beautiful setting.

How do I check a date or book a viewing?

The easiest way is to send us an enquiry or email info@usambara.co.za. Our team will confirm availability and set up a viewing so you can experience the venue for yourself.

What are your payment terms?

A non-refundable deposit of R10 000 secures your function date. The balance is then paid in three instalments: 180 days before the wedding, 90 days before the wedding, and the final amount 10 days before the day.
